Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a dynamic team in California. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to various construction projects, supporting project managers and ensuring the successful execution of tasks from the bid phase through to project closeout.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers with all aspects of project execution from bid phase through closeout.
  • Assist with bidding projects to subcontractors, estimating self-performed work, and preparing proposals.
  • Support prime contract administration and issuance of subcontracts.
  • Manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes, and logs.
  • Assist with owner invoicing and review/approval of subcontractor invoices.
  • Participate in project meetings and support overall project coordination.
  • Act as a liaison between office teams and field personnel to ensure clear communication.
  • Support project schedule tracking and internal reporting.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and professional organizations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1.5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or related construction role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Project.
  • Strong understanding of all construction trades, including MEP.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Client-focused mindset with an emphasis on customer satisfaction and relationship development.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented attitude with a willingness to take initiative.
  • Creative thinker who can adapt and problem-solve to meet project goals.
  • Self-starter who works well independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 1st shift

Benefits

Competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
